PostHeaderIcon My tomatoes are stil green , any tips for riping them soon?

For vine ripening (The fullest flavor) you’ll just have to wait. If you’re getting close to frost time in your area, you can pick all the green ones which are about mature size and layer them in a cardboard box with newspaper between the layers. This is for really slow ripening. You maight have tomatoes looking good until Christmas.
For quicker ripening, the windowsill method works. However, if the tomatoes aren’t of mature size, they’ll tend to ripen harder and drier than they would if you left them on the vine as long as possible.

PostHeaderIcon Tips for PTC users….recycling and other problems?

1. Choose a time of day that you can click ads and eventually manage your referrals at the same time everyday.

2. Click all available ads everyday (when you get referrals this is necessary to earn from referral clicks).

3. Utilize all free methods of advertising to gain any direct referrals. Talk it up with your friends and relatives. Put a tagline on your e-mail signature. Post in forums. Use free traffic exchanges.

4. Once your account balance reaches $2. Transfer this money to your rental balance and rent 3 referrals. It is only $0.90 to rent the referrals but you will need the remainder to properly manage the referrals.

5. Put the autopay function on.

6. If a referral of yours has not clicked in the last three days and has a click average of less than 1.8 then recycle it ($0.08) and get a new referral. If they have a click average of over 1.8, I will give them 7 days before I recycle them. I will give those with an average of over 2.0 the full 14 days to return and click just because I would hate to recycle a great referral just because they were on vacation for a week.

7. Whenever, one of your referrals goes below 20 days before next payment pay to add another 30 days. Below 20 days, the autopay function does not work and you will not get the savings for that referral.

8. Every time your account balance reaches $1 transfer the money to your rental balance. At first when you are only making a couple of cents per day it is important to keep enough in your rental balance to maintain your recycling activity because you can only transfer in $1 increments. Once you can complete this transfer and have at least $2.40 in your rental balance rent another 3 referrals.

9. Continue this process until you are making a $1 a day in your account balance. At this point you can begin renting in bigger chunks of referrals every 7 days. Never rent a number of referrals that is greater than 33% of your existing totals as these will become difficult to manage through recycling with your earnings.

10. It will take a while but continue the above listed process until you reach 500 referrals. At this point stop renting and just maintain your referrals. Accumulate the earnings until you can pay for the upgrade to golden.

11. Once golden, maintain your referrals as before. Every week continue to rent referrals until you hit the 2000 refs mark. Any money that you are not sinking into referral maintenance or renting is profit for you.

PostHeaderIcon just askin, what are some tips in saving on electricity and on food?

i want to save on electricity and on cooking. i also want to ask foods that are very nutritious but delicious and cheap

because you know these years….global crisis is happening..

anyone, can you help me??

Unscrew some of the multiple bulbs in lamps and ceiling fans. Unplug every appliance you can when it’s not in use. You can save a lot more than you think by just doing that. Open the windows, don’t turn the air on. Use fans to keep cool. Blot with cool wet towels. Make sun tea instead of boiling the water. If you want to save on water, don’t leave it running when you brush your teeth. Cut the water off while you lather up for a shower or when you wash your hair. Don’t turn the faucets on full blast. A little dab will do some of the time. Don’t let the water run while you do dishes. Hang as much of your laundry as you can, then you can fluff it if you want.
Food: Check your local area for surplus groceries. You can get dented canned stuff there. Also gourmet stuff that didn’t sell fast enough and stil has some shelf life left. Don’t buy in quantity. Don’t go to Sam’s. Use meat sparingly. Get a few big pots and grow your own green beans, peas, cucumbers and lettuce. Start an herb garden in pots. Even I can grow those! After you start with a few plants, you might want to switch to seeds. It’s cheaper. You’ll find it opens up a whole new way of cooking. You’ll feast like a queen. Water every day and feed twice a week. You can make your own organic fertilizer at home. You might even find an organic farmer’s market nearby to sell your surplus.
Don’t buy packaged foods. They are a rip off. (hamburger helper, etc.)
You can buy cereal at lots of grocery stores by the ounce, instead of a whole box that might get stale before you use it all. ( Health food dept.)
Clean your home with vinegar. Or use bleach but be careful of spots. You can really save money on clothes at resale shops.
Freeze the bread or put it in the frdge to keep fresh longer.

PostHeaderIcon How can I save on my home heating (gas) bill?

I rent an old house that still has the wooden framed windows and they just let the drafts right in. What is the best way to put plastic up? I must have not done it right last year because my gas bill was like $400 a month in the winter for a 2 bedroom rowhouse that is vey small. Also, I would turn the thermostat all the way off when I left for work in the morning and turn it on when I returned in the evening. Could this have also contributed to the high bills? I just didn’t feel safe letting it run all day with no one home. Any serious heating energy saving tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Go to your local Lowes/ Homedepot and look for a "Insider Heat shrink" window draft kit. They come in various sizes and are really easy to install. Check the furnace filter every month. If it looks a LITTLE dirty. Change it. Check for drafty doors. 40-50% of your energy loss is because the home you are in has drafty doors and windows.
