What are some good make up tips for green deep set eyes?
How should I aply it and what colors should I use.
Also, when I smile, my under eyes are really puffy. Is there any way to get rid of that?
A good idea for eye makeup is to stick with the colour your natural eyes are. So, if your eyes are green then a good green eyeshadow applied lightly over your eyelid will make your eyes ‘pop’ (i.e. look really good!). If you use plain black mascara and black eyeliner, your eyes will look really good (unless you have a really pale complexion, in which case, you will need to use either a grey or dark blue mascara/eyeliner).
For the puffy under eyes, this often happens as a result of tiredness. However, if you are getting a good nights sleep it could also be a reaction to your makeup (you can usually tell if this is the reason because it is itchy and red) or you could just have puffy under eyes.
Household money saving tips, storage ideas & furniture recycling ideas?
I am moving into a new home for the first time, and I was wondering if you have any useful tips? I’d love to hear everyones ideas on how to save a little money (recycling old furniture, coupons, buying/keeping food & cleaning products etc…), how to maximise storage & reduce clutter, any lovely decorating tips (I’m a bit of a crafty magpie and love making and reusing things that I get my hands on!) and general household Goddess advice (for those of us on a budget!) Any ideas are welcome, thank you all for your time and help!
okay here it goes
have no idea on your budget
but ours is 22K to 27K for a family of 4 (no government assistance) thank you very much – we have want for nothing – actually own 4 homes, 5 cars and a 2 semi’s
2 parents 2 kids (how about that the nuclear family) :}
dad gets frustrated with mom ’cause she can turn a nickle into a dollar in nothin’ flat
rule 1 no store bought clothes – only second hand – garage sales and good will – mom is the queen (unless you have my legs, inseam of 38/40, yes i am tall) only i get britches in the store because no one else legs are that long and it really looks silly when your pants are at your knees
rule 2 no junk food – costs to much -
rule 3 no restaurants – costs way too much
rule 4 no hair cuts – mom knows how to work scissors/clippers – been doing hair cuts for years no body knows the difference
rule 5 every thing gets used at least 3 times before it leaves us – plastic, cardboard, clothes, etc
plastic – first for humans we use it then the animals get to use it (like food bowls) then garage gets to use it then recycle it when done in garage
cardboard – same thing, insulation in dog houses whatever needs packed or reshipped, etc
clothes – wear them rag them rug them – first you wear them then mom rags them for cleaning then they get turned into rugs
rule 6 whole cow purchase only – not by the piece at the stores – go to the butcher – you will spend 1.70 a pound on a 1000 pounds = $1700 for meat for the year or more, by the piece from the store that same cow equals over $4500 or more, then all the bones and undesirable pieces get fed to the dogs (free dog food)
get the idea – nothing is wasted – there are more rules but you are getting the idea
no trash pick up – recycle it all
no wasted trips to store – once a week only – if you don’t get it then you go without
no modern entertainment – no movies – t v is free – no rentals – play board games or cards
no fashion – huge waist of money on girly fads or action figures or collectibles
no shopping – you don’t need anything – most of us already have every thing we need, wanting something is a whole different idea, you have a dry roof, decent clothes, good food, you don’t need a food processor you already have a paring knife
no magazine subscriptions or newspapers
nothing enters the home unless it is going to work
work like chores, broom, vacuum, sheets, etc have a job to do – pictures, needless toys, hobbies, crafts don’t work, unless you resell them
after a while you will get the swing of it
What is the best advice for saving on electricity?
What times are best to use your washer and dryer, and when is it safe to use lights and lamps etc.
There are lots of ways to save by doing little things:
-Change all your light bulbs to the efficient ones.
-Turn your water heater down to about 120degrees Fahrenheit (because seriously, that’s still hot enough for me and it saves you a bit on your bill).
-Adjust your thermostat accordingly. When you’re not at home, nobody’s there to enjoy the air conditioner or heater anyway.
-If you live by yourself, wash the dishes by hand or you can use the dishwasher but make sure you put a good load in it.
-Do the same with your clothes. Do not overload the washing machines and dryer, but do a good load. I also thought about this the other day, maybe it’s better to run the dryer for shorter amount of time during the hot summer day because it’s easier for the machine to "heat" up the cycle.
-Turn off all electronic when you’re not using it. Keep in mind some things may still draw electricity even when it’s not on. Some things like an adapter that lights up when it is plugged (that shows you that the light is getting a power source from somewhere).
That’s all I can think of. Good luck.

How to save energy at home?
Ok I’m a renter, buying is not an option at the moment, that being said I need to save money on my gas and electric. The insulation in the house is poor so heat and air just seem to seep through the walls. What can we do, without investing too much money in somebody else’s house? The house is small and the gas and electric are about 200 a month. I do turn off lights and wash in cold water and try not to use air unless it’s swealtering. Suggestions?
